Season 6 Episode 18 - When Fates Collide

Julius Caesar has escaped from the underworld and has captures the Fates. Now he plans to change the loom so that he is alive and ruling Rome. The only way he can do this is if he never crucified Xena on the beach years ago. So he cuts the tapestry at that point. Then he is again the emperor of Rome and is married to Xena! That night he has planned a Greek playwright to perform a play to Xena and some other Romans. While Xena is negotiating about weapons with her armour Caesar is dealing with an alliance from Chin but he doesn't like the offer and gets the high priestess of Rome to kill them using her power, the high priestess of Rome is Alti!

That night after the play Xena meets the playwright and Caesar is not happy when he finds out the famous playwright is Gabrielle! Xena and Gabrielle seem to get on very well which annoys Caesar even more but he just ignores it for the moment. Meanwhile Brutus has found out that Caesar killed Lao Ma's embassies from Chin and is not happy and warns him to look out for assassins from Chin. That night Alti attacks Xena, Alti shows her parts from her alternate life trying to give her all the pain of it so that it kills her. But Caesar stops Alti before she gets chance to kill her and Xena plans to kill her in public. The next day Gabriele is taken to prison because Caesar said that she and Alti are assassins from Chin, they are both going to be executed. Xena goes to see Gabrielle the prison guard is Joxer!!! He lets her in. Xena can't believe she is an assassin. Gabrielle promises her that she isn't so Xena goes to see Alti. Alti says that Gabrielle isn't an assassin and neither is she so Xena asks her to show her more of what she showed her before. Alti does and Xena sees Caesar crucifying her on the beach. Xena storms out and finds Gabrielle just about to be crucified for being an assassin. Xena tells Caesar that she knows who he really is and who Gabrielle really is then stops the execution. Xena tells Gabrielle to leave Rome while she stays with Caesar. But Caesar wont give up and sends Alti to kill Gabrielle. Xena finds out though and stops her but not before Alti has shown Gabrielle the other life. Alti and Xena fight and with the help of Caesar Alti wins. Caesar puts Xena in prison and Joxer manages to get Gabrielle out of Rome. While Xena is being crucified Gabrielle goes to the Fates. Meanwhile Caesar and Alti are having an affair but Alti kills Caesar! Gabrielle has now got to the Fates who are still tied up so their loom is now a mess. Gabrielle takes a torch and burns the loom destroying everything, the entire universe and all time. Then Xena and Gabrielle meet in a forest and things have gone back to the way they were meant to be because Gabrielle destroyed the loom putting everything right. And now the underworld has gone back to normal still imprisoning Julius Caesar.
