Season 6 Episode 15 - To Helicon and Back

Xena are Gabrielle are still in the Amazon village from the last episode. But while Varia is getting her official ceremony to become Queen of the Amazons they are attacked. Xena, Gabrielle and the Amazons manage to fight off the attackers but not before they capture Varia. Xena quickly realizes that the attackers come from Helicon and so Xena manages to persuade Gabrielle to lead the Amazons to save Varia. Xena goes to Helicon and tries to persuade the leader of the attackers to free Varia, but he tells Xena that he is the son of Artemis who founded the Amazons.

Now he wants revenge because when Xena killed Artemis the Amazons weren't prepared to try and save her, so he wants to kill all the Amazons for their betrayal. Bellerophon and Xena fight but Xena runs off when she finds out that Bellerophon knows how Gabrielle is planning to attack him and he fires catapults at them. They are planning to reach him by water and so their ship sinks when the catapults reach them. Gabrielle and the rest of the Amazons flee the boat and fortunately they are near land. Then run to the beach and try to reach safety but while doing so many Amazons die because of the catapults. Xena manages to get to the Gabrielle and the Amazons, who are know protected by the sand dunes. She tells Gabrielle about Bellerophon and also tells Gabrielle that she is the only hope for the Amazons. With Xena and Gabrielle's help the Amazons get further up the beach and further away from the catapults. Things still aren't looking good though and the Amazons are almost all wiped out. Then Varia returns to her tribe and tells them that Bellerophon said that an Amazon queen should die with her tribe. Gabrielle puts Varia back in charge and Varia tells them to retreat. Xena and Gabrielle manage to get Varia to continue the attack so Varia tells Gabrielle to find a track to Bellerophon's castle. Gabrielle goes but it doesn't take Xena long to realize that Varia has tricked Gabrielle. The reason Bellerophon let Varia go is because they made a deal if Varia promised to kill Gabrielle then Bellerophon would let Varia and all the Amazons go. Xena calls Gabrielle back and when Gabrielle finds out about the betrayal she takes Varia's Queen hood and leads the Amazons herself again. They make there way nearer to Bellerophon's palace and just before they attack Gabrielle gives a heart-warming speech to the Amazons about honor. Then they attack and the Amazons beat Bellerophon, before Xena and Gabrielle leave the Amazons Gabrielle realizes she has changed a lot since meeting Xena she is now a Warrior whether she likes it or not.
