Season 6 Episode 04 - Who's Gurkhan

Gabrielle, Xena, Eve and Virgil travel back to Gabrielle's home village Potadeia. When they get there Gabrielle goes to her house to see her family but soon has a painful shock. Lila tells her that a raider called Gurkhan captured her daughter, Gabrielle's niece. Gabrielle's mother and father and Lila's husband went to buy her back but were murdered by Gurkhan. Gabrielle gets furies and decides to travel to North Africa, where Gurkhan is, with Xena, Virgil and Eve. When she gets there she plans to murder Gurkhan. On the boat to Africa Xena gives Gabrielle a strong sedative to help her seasickness, but by the time Gabrielle wakes up Xena has left the boat and got to Africa and Eve has started to take the boat back to Greece.

In Africa Virgil has sold Xena to Gurkhan as a wife so that she can get to his palace and try and find Gabrielle's niece Sarah. When Gabrielle finds out what has happened she gets very annoyed and decides to go to Gurkhan and become another of his wives. After performing a seductive dance Gurkhan allows Gabrielle to become his slave/wife but when Xena realizes that Gabrielle's has a dagger she wrestles Gabrielle to the floor and knocks her out and then pretends it was her dagger. Xena is thrown into a dungeon and is beaten almost to death but just manages to survive. Meanwhile Gabrielle has meet Gurkhan's number 1 wife who is very, very evil and beats all the other wives of Gurkhan's. After getting out of the dungeon Xena tells Gabrielle that she will let her kill Gurkhan is she wants to but Xena isn't happy about it. Later that night Xena has to perform a dance for Gurkhan after watching her Gurkhan starts to like her and Xena takes liberties by asking for Sarah's head on platter. Gurkhan agrees and it is revealed that his number one wife is Sarah. Later that night Xena and Gabrielle go into Gurkhan's room and Gabrielle gets the opportunity to kill him but she doesn't instead she beats him up badly. Xena and Gabrielle save Sarah and switch her for Gurkhan and then they let all of Gurkhan's wives go giving them back their freedom. After they leave Gurkhan's men, thinking that he is Sarah, kill him. When Xena, Gabrielle, Eve and Virgil are on the boat back to Greece Sarah explains that she has done some terrible thing while in Gurkhan's captivity and that she should never be forgiven. After looking at Eve and Xena Gabrielle tells her "Boy are you ever in the right company." and they all return home.
