Season 4 Episode 20 - Endgame

On their travels Xena and Gabrielle are visited by a young Amazon named Amarice who asks Gabrielle to come back to her Amazon village and become queen because Ephiny, Gabrielle's old and good friend has been killed by Caesar's right-hand man Brutus. When they get back to the village Gabrielle takes control as Queen and with the aid of Xena they battle Brutus. After capturing him Gabrielle takes Mersey on him after he tells Xena where Pompey is, another man who is enemy to Amazon's and Caesar, instead of executing him they just put him in jail. Xena soon goes after Pompey and to rescue the Amazons that he captured in his last attack against them. Word of Xena's saving the captured Amazon gets back to Pompey who is enraged and mounts up heading straight for the Amazon village. Mean while Brutus asks to be realised so his able to take control of Caesar's army and stop them from crushing the Amazons as the try to get to Pompey. Gabrielle trusts him and as Xena kills Pompey Brutus honours that trust and helps the Amazons Destroy Pompey's army. When he gets back to Rome Brutus shows his victory to Caesar and tells him of the offer that Gabrielle gave to Caesar but Caesar brushes off the offer and shows his future intention to crush the Amazon's purely to just have control over them. After the battle with Pompey and as the Amazon tribe honour their dead, Gabrielle pass's her right to be Queen to another Amazon, leaving her and Xena to Honour the death of the Friend Ephiny and leave the village.
