Season 2 Episode 04 - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

When Bacchae attack Joxer in a wood Gabrielle and Xena come to his aid and find out that he has a message for them. In fact it is the head of the God Orpheus who needs to stop Bacchus, master of the Bacchae. The only way to kill him is to stab him in the heart with the bone of the Bacchaes biggest enemy. Orpheus will slow them down by singing when someone else is playing the Lyre, this is the Bacchaes only weakness. First they need to find someone who can play the Lyre and when Joxer admits he can they go of to find some bones. After being attacked by the evil creature, Xena manages to get enough bones, but then they have another problem. Gabrielle turns in to a Bacchae as she was bitten early on but no one realised. Joxer, Xena and Orpheus go to the cave where Bacchus is, they have to get there quick because Xena knows as soon as Gabrielle drinks the blood of Bacchus she will become a Bacchae forever.

They get there just in time but when Xena stabs Bacchus in the heart it does not work and she soon realises that only a Bacchae can kill him so Gabrielle bites Xena and Xena kills Bacchus. Bacchus dies and all the Bacchae return to the normal young woman they were before.
