Season 1 Episode 17 - A Royal Couple Of Thieves

Xena is asked to help a group of villagers recover a valuable box that has been stolen from them. It turns out that it also significant value as a weapon and is due to be put up for auction. Xena enlists the help of a master thief, Autolycus, they go to an island fortress. Things start to go wrong when the box is stolen and the man selling the item is found dead. Autolycus and Xena find the box in there room and quickly return it. Later on their true identity is found out and they have to run off. Though they quickly find the box again, and by now Xena knows what its power is.

When the box is opened a strange object starts to come out and the people around start to run away, but as they run they get killed. Xena and Autolycus are ok though because they know that if you run you die. Xena takes the box and returns it to the village.
